Liddle Baby Kitty
Aww, da poor liddle baby kitty... first time I saw this, I thought, how can those nasty people just leave that poor little kitten in the box when it's lonely and hungry and sad? But it turned out salvation was on the way. So it's just cute instead.

    *collapses with the sheer cuteness*

Poor little thing. Only a few days old, too, by the looks of him.

Ok, I find that a wee bit creepy. It's screaming...

I found it on The Daily Kitten, and someone there said 10 hours old. They sounded like they knew, so I'll go with that.

Heheh - Jes, both my cats made a remarkably similar noise when they were brought home as kittens. Roswell especially, because she was very young. It's a locational cry - if we called out to her, she would stop crying and come running into the room. It's a very attention-getting noise - I found it pretty well impossible to ignore her when she called out like that - and I'm quite impressed that it works across species...

Yeah. Young kittens can make a heck of a racket, especially if mum's not around. And you can hear her calling back to him just before she comes to the rescue.

I thought his eyes were open... perhaps not. He would have to be a few days old if his eyes were already open. But you could also see a little bit of umbilical cord hanging down when mum drags him away, so perhaps the open eyes were my imagination.
