I am not a donkey |
Someone has dangled a carrot for Ata. A little carrot, mind you, just a little one. Little, but sweet and crunchy-looking, with the promise of further carrots to come.
So.
Having taken one step forward, the carrot - of course - is now a little further away, as is the nature of dangling carrots. And taking the next step is outside Ata's ability, as the carrot is now entirely under the control of the dangler.
The question, therefore, is this: what to do? What to do? Should Ata plunge head-first into preparation, so that if and when the carrot comes into reach she can sink her teeth in deep? Or pause and wait and bide her time, knowing it could be weeks - or months - before anything happens? IF anything happens. And not wanting to become too excited over the prospect of juicy carrots, in case none eventuate.
It is, after all, only a carrot. |

I heard you can buy carrots at the supermarket now. I know, shock horror.
Buy lots of them.

I bought some massive carrots from the greengrocer the other day. I could only just get my hand around one with fingertips touching, they were so wide. Normally I use six carrots as a base for a juice for two people. With these, I only need two.
I hope the carrot tempting you is not doing so unfairly, Ata. It's only fair if you get a bite of it eventually.
