Here! |
We're here! Aside from a little kerfuffle getting the internet working, everything is hunky-dory, if somewhat chilly. We couldn't get our prearranged dial-up connection working yesterday on arrival, but our host drove us into Grayshott this morning, where we acquired a different cable, and now it's all go (to our ENORMOUS relief).
The flight was great, we're a little tired but otherwise cheerful. I saw squirrels this morning! |

Yay!
Where exactly is here?
And please don't go all Q and chase squirrels everywhere... not that it wasn't cute but it doesn't look very sane.
So- when can we have a UK meet in your honour?

Oh, worked it out by realising that you must be near Grayshott if you went there...
Doh.
You're directly west of me by about 50 miles.

Oh, I don't think I will bother with chasing squirrels - they seem to have far greater climbing skills than I do, and I usually see them leaping about between tree branches. Besides, yesterday we went for a drive following the satnav directions that took us down many terrifyingly narrow lanes but some lovely countryside, where I saw deer and pheasants, so I am now over the squirrels... almost.
How far is 50 miles? I'm still coming to terms with miles. We are currently residing in Headley, very near to Grayshott. It reminds me a lot of Ballarat in the winter, but with more water.
Meet? Meet? Well, given that I'm currently unemployed with only vague and uncertain plans for the future, whenever, I guess.

Assuming the closest of three Headleys to the only UK Grayshoot, that puts Ata here
It's a small country. We know where you are :)
